Dr. Frank Lassise, Jr.

Aloha!

My name is Dr. Frank Lassise, Jr. I am so excited to be a new member of At Home Veterinary Services and associate to Dr. Dewey. Please allow me to give a little background of who I am and the journey that has brought me to this island and this special practice.

I grew up in suburban Los Angeles and always knew I wanted to be a healer and to work with animals. I was the kid that took in every stray cat and tried to nurse every bird that fell out of a nest. I got my first job at 15 in a veterinary clinic and went on to enroll and graduate from the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. After graduation, I completed a yearlong internship in small animal surgery in Rochester, New York, working with specialists in Surgery, Cancer Medicine, Dermatology, and Neurology. I have worked in private practices in Salinas and Santa Cruz, California and most recently, Portland, Oregon. I have also worked in specialty referral and emergency practices covering overnight and after-hours emergency cases.

Special areas of interest for me include Small Animal Surgery, Orthopedics, and abdominal ultrasound; along with general wellness and geriatric medicine. I am particularly interested and excited about being involved with and offering mobile services to clients. In addition to being convenient for clients, it is a fun and nice change of pace for me as a veterinarian.

A love of warm weather, warm/friendly people, the ocean and water sports of all sorts and the spirit of Aloha culminated in my recent move to Maui with my spouse and our furry children; Oakley, our thoughtful beagle; Joey, our energetic Boston Terrier; and Boots, the Queen of our household.

We are so happy to be a part of this wonderful island and community. I look forward to becoming a valued part of you and your pets lives by helping you keep them happy and healthy.
